Would almost be like me saying I never fall over. I exspect my feet to be wet if im hanging out much crossing creeks or riding in wet weather conditions like my feet never get wet my first thought is well you probly rarely ride. Your feet will get alittle to sopping wet. Riding through rain storms then wet buck brush is like riding through a 10ft tall wave. Thats why this next pair will be the best of the best. Im all about support as much as I like my tech7s im not 100% sure I trust them though maybe that comes from breaking both my tib and fib in a single blow while wearing msr boots old System x I think. But it only took one tumble, on a stone slab, to ditch that hazard. It's a reasonable compromise, protection-wise. If I was buying another pair right now, I'd go with Fastback because of the weight alone. When I walk into a creek to rinse down, SG12 start filling noticeably quicker than Fastback. Fastback do seem to keep water out better. In that case, I do own, both, SG12 and Fastback. Sounds like you actually know what you're looking for.

Sorry if you took the post as someone being on Gaernes payroll I’ve had good luck with the entry level boots Gaerne puts out, but approaching 60…. I just prefer a traditional stitched on sole, preferably an enduro sole vs Mx, and that’s why I asked about the boots I did. Nothing at all against Alpine star, or any other boot. Over the years I’ve worn so many different boots I can’t count them. I asked about 2 specific boots.I’ve been riding since about the mid 70s, been out of it for about 10 years and just getting back into it. My posts wasn’t really intended to turn into a boot review.
